Composer Michael Künstle playfully combines film music with contemporary music and belongs to the most exciting musical voices of his generation.
During his composition studies at the Zurich University of Arts at the age of 21, Michael Künstle won the GOLDEN EYE AWARD for Best Filmmusic at the 1. International Filmmusic Competition at Zurich Film Festival. Since then, he worked on over 20 film productions and wrote amongst others for renowned ensembles like the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and the Symphony Orchestra of Basel, where he acts as a conductor for selected projects. His works were performed in Switzerland, Poland, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Austria and Italy.
His music is characterised through colorfulness and rhythmical playfulness. Be it for film or for the concert hall, Michael Künstle composes picturesque music, which creates a cineastic feeling even in smaller ensembles.
